So guys I no I have been so slack over the last 4 months and I have been going back and forth on whether I continue to post or not as I have not been in the right mind frame but I have realized that everyone has these days and to me I just have to push through it and by me posting it is letting you all into our lives a bit and showing you what our daily dramas can be as well as our achievements as a family and individuals π so I’m going to try and be more present and start writing more so you can all keep up to date with where we are at.
So as I was going through my mail I have had a few people asking what we have been getting up to and believe me life has been keeping us busy almost non-stop but we have had our little projects and get aways which have been great for us as a family.
So let’s take a look at our latest project and new toy that has been introduced into our tribe………

“It’s our campervan” Yayyyyy
We have been saying for almost 2 years now that we have wanted to get a little carvan or camper that we can take off in and show the kids what is out there in our beautiful country and just over a month ago we brought this beauty that has allowed us to do just that. Now I know from the outside it doesn’t look all spick and span and new but you know what… it gives us freedom and adventure and for our little family, it is perfect π
But when when we brought this little van it wasn’t exactly how I wanted or pictured it staying, so the hubby and I sat down and bounce ideas back and forth until we had come to an agreement on how we wanted it to look for now and we did our first little renvo together and I’m not going to lie he drove me bonkers as he didn’t want to listen and we both wanted to do things different ways but we did get there in the end and we love how it has turned out but there is still more to be done before we have finished. Here are the before and after photos of what we have done so far.

So as you can see we mostly did the practical thing that were needed for now but we would eventually like to change the wood panelling colour as well as redo all the flooring but for us this made a massive difference by just pulling the old cupboards out and putting new one’s in and it also gave up a lot more space when travelling, you see because when the van was all packed up and folded down all of the old cupboards laid flat and flipped over on to the floor which took up the whole floor space so we weren’t able to store anything for travelling but by putting the new units in (which they only come out about a quarter of the way the old ones did) we have freed up the floor space so that everything else we could possible need can fit in. The new units have also given us container space for clothes and all our kitchen needs as well as our cook top. I also had to change the seating colour as to me it was just to much the pattern we didn’t mind but with it all being the same I just found it to busy, so I popped some black sheets over the cushions and it worked just perfectly for a fit for now and atleast there are easy to remove and clean with having all the kids. I also change the old curtains out to new ones that would work with our colour scheme and am waiting for ones to come for each the ends so that the rooms can be given some privacy π
As you can see from the top photo we have taken it on our first adventure and had an amazing time but I will do a post about that later with some photos and stories about the kids, for now I am heading off and hope to see you all again soon π
