Load them up and pile them in is what it’s like when we have to go anywhere. So today I thought I would talk about the cars we have had and have for fitting all of us in.
So to start with when we first found out we were going to have our son and we were going to move inland we realized the cars we had were not going to work. I had just a little 5 seater and the back seat could know where near fit 3 car seats in and my husband had a Triton and as we discovered you are only legal allowed 2 anchored car seats in the back and that wouldn’t work for a newborn and 2 seats that still had the anchor point on them. So our search started and while we were looking a lot of the cars that people were trying to sell us were the captivas but we were told it would be a tight fit in general. So we finally found and settled on a Nissan Pathfinder r52 and I must say it was amazing. It drove great fit us all in perfectly and allowed us to have room for when we had more kids the only downfall was that the boot wasn’t very big but as we looked at a lot the boot never was with 7 or 8 seater cars.
After having this car for 2 years we moved on to a Honda Odyssey and the one feature that I absolutely love is that the girls can walk themselves through to strap in as they are in booster seats having the 2 seats in the centre row makes life so much easier. The boot is about the same size as the Pathfinder its just a lower car and now is more practical for us. But as a family, you will always find good and bad things in each car you look at it just depends on how significant they are π
