There has always been the saying “When I grow up im going to run away to the circus.” Well I didn’t need to from when I was a baby I travelled with them, my family were the circus and I travelled in a bus with my mum and dad for some time when I was a baby and I still went and stayed almost every school holidays even into high school and it is some of the best memories I have.
I no I no not everyone likes the circus or that some circus’s still have animals in them but I loved the experiences I got and being around exotic animals and helping look after and handle those creatures gave me a respect that I couldn’t of gotten anywhere else.

But the best part for me is the opportunity of seeing the expressions on my kids faces when they get to experience the show for the first time. To see them love something as much as me and I’m glad that they get to see “in my opinion” the traditional circus with as much animals showing as humans. To hear them laugh at clowns and be in awe or acrobatics.

You see we went to Hudson’s Circus last night and our son is obsessed with horses and I mean even the smallest of horse in a picture he manages to find it and he can spot them in a field before anyone else can, so last night he got to see them in the show and seeing his face the minute they came out was the best feeling for me. And hearing my girls say “we want to do that” fills me with joy. You see there are the rare moments like these that you have to cherish because they past so quickly and the kids grow so fast.
So if you get the opportunity to be able to go see a traditional circus I highly recommend it before they are completely extinct 🙂
