Day to Day

So to try and answer that age old question that I know I am asked almost every time I go out and I’m sure a lot of others are as well, “How do you do it?”

The simplest answer is ‘you have to’ haha well I mean what are they going to do without you 🙂 but to elaborate I focus on routine, now now I know routine isn’t for everyone and I’m not saying I have every minute of every day set out to a schedule but I know no matter what time the kids get up I have a plan of how that day needs to run, the only part of my day that is a set time is the dinner/bath/bed time which is a God sent when it finally rolls around.

So I got to say I have been pretty lucky we have good sleeper’s all round and they all have been like that from day 1, plus they have all been good feeders (that is until #4) and are all so energetic. My 2 oldest girls were great went to bed at 7.30pm, slept through the night and had at least 1 day sleep during the day and that was all the way up until the beginning of this year, my son has been a real trooper when it comes to it all and he just puts himself to bed when he is tired which is great he still has his 2 sleeps a day and is normally in bed between 6.30pm and 7pm but in his awake time he is just full of beans and our youngest, well as I said in my original post we think she will be our problem child, there has definitely been a bit more difficulty there. We unfortunately worked out at about 4 weeks old that she was lactose intolerant and was struggling to put on weight. By week 4 she was finally back up to birth weight but since then has been at weekly Drs appointments to keep an eye on her and thankfully she is slowly getting there but on top of that and as every parent dreads at the change of season time she got a cold a couple weeks ago and we have had to deal with getting rid of that and oh boy it doesn’t help when you have just moved house and just got back from being away and you need to unpack but you have a baby who isn’t well and just wants to be held.

So working around our sleep routines and that we try to make sure the kids get to be as active as they can be, the 2 eldest have there kindy days and dance but we try to get them outside as much as possible but I got to say it doesn’t take much convincing to get them out there which helps, I feel like it’s more of a fight to get them in than anything 🙂 we run, we play and we have picnics and they love it and that’s all that matters

So that a little more about our little pack and to any other mothers out there reading this your doing a great job no matter what anyone thinks 🙂

Talk again soon CC ❤
